Occasional film nights

We are showing three more films this winter:

 

December 15th:   'A Borrowed Identity', the film version of a book we read in the Kol Nefesh book club some months ago, 'Dancing Arabs' by Sayed Kashua. This 2015 film is directed by Eran Riklis (Lemon Tree, The Syrian Bride). The trailer is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sdlBEyFMeg0.

 

January 26th 2020:  'The Frisco Kid', a 1979 classic!  It's an American western comedy film directed by Robert Aldrich, starring Gene Wilder as Avram Belinski, a Polish rabbi who is traveling to San Francisco, and Harrison Ford as a bank robber who befriends him.

 

March 15th 2020: 'The Cakemaker' (in Hebrew האופה מברלין, haOfeh miBerlin) is a 2017 Israeli-German drama film directed by Ofir Raul Grazier.  See trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=atBa3S_FzPQ

 

 

A voluntary £5 donation will be collected at each film.  All films are in English or with English subtitles.
