Visiting Scholar Yarden Raber - Friday night and Shabbat December 22-23

We're delighted to welcome Yarden Raber as a visiting scholar during the weekend before Limmud!

All are invited to a community Kabbalat Shabbat and potluck on Friday at 6.30 on Friday the 22nd December (check your bulletin or contact us for the address). As usual, please bring a milky dish to share.

On Shabbat day, everyone's invited to a lunch and learn with Yarden after the service.

Yarden Raber was born in Buenos Aires to a traditional Jewish family, and made aliyah in 2012. Yarden studied Talmud and Ancient Jewish Literature at Tel Aviv University, where he continues to work on manuscripts from the Cairo Genizah. Yarden is also in the process of completing his rabbinical ordination at the Schechter Institute of Jewish Studies in Jerusalem. He lives in Jerusalem with his wife and their two children, and teaches at the Conservative Yeshiva with Rabbi Joel.
