Purim is Coming!
This Purim, join KNM and EMS in a retelling with a twist. Enjoy an immersive reading of Megillat Esther interspersed with inter-generational storytelling workshops.
Love storytelling and want to learn new tips and tricks? Or maybe take a journey inside and connect to the stories we tell ourselves. Or perhaps you’d rather learn the roots of some of the most powerful Jewish stories of all time. Whatever you’re into, there’s something for everyone.
When: Monday the 9th of March, 6.30pm
Where: Kol Nefesh Masorti Synagogue
Come in fancy dress!
Please bring SEALED boxes of "noisy food" (e.g., boxes of rice or pasta) that can be used as groggers during the Megillah reading, and then donated to a local food bank. There will be a collection point at the shul.
Please bring a bottle or hechshered snack/dessert to share.
Non-members, contact firstname.lastname@example.org to book and get the address.
It is traditional to have a Purim Seudah, or feast (in Hebrew, Seudat Purim) on Purim day.
Join us for a festive Seudat Purim with Rabbi Joel on Tuesday the 10th of March. This will be at a member's home (address via email@example.com). The seudah will be sponsored by Mike Fenster in honour of his birthday, so no need to bring a dish.
For those interested, we'll begin with Shaharit and a repetition of the Megillah reading at 9am. The Seudah will start around 11am and end by 12pm.
