A cinematic journey exploring some of the greatest films ever made, beginning in the landmark year of 1939. Each session will look at the most significant films of the year, along with their cultural and historical context, with discussion and a vote to decide which film truly deserves to be Best Picture. This is your chance to correct the mistakes made at Oscars and BAFTAs past, discover the masterpieces you may have missed, and argue politely but passionately, about what makes a cinema classic.
