Every two years or so we hold a First-Timers' Shabbat, when as much of the service as possible is taken by people doing something for the very first time. This is a safe space to try something new, large or small. The different parts of the service (Shaharit, Torah service etc.) can be broken down into even smaller, more manageable chunks and shared out among several first-timers.
This year we have had to postpone our First-Timers' Shabbat as we are not meeting in shul due to lockdown, but we have moved the First-timers Shabbat to the second day of Pesach, 2021. This expands opportunities to learn something new even to those who are already comfortable leading a Shabbat service.
Get in touch now... there's plenty of time to learn a new role or skill, for Shabbat or chag!
Recordings of all the readings from the Torah and the Haftorah will be posted on the website nearer the time.
