From North Africa and Europe in the west, through the Middle East to China in the east, the British Library’s collection of Hebrew manuscripts reflects Jewish cultural and social life over a thousand years. We are joined by Miri Lewis, who manages the Hebrew Manuscripts Digitisation Project at the British Library. She'll tell us about the challenges of working with sacred texts and introduce some recently digitised items from the collection, which offer new insights into Jewish wisdom, culture, and history.
